The Gator Club on main street, Sarasota has a great atmosphere, and super cool visitors. Wednesday is karaoke night for the ones who like to sing a tune. Gator Club has a bingo night as well, you can win sexy adult prizes. Music is good, DJ' s and band's playing (ask them what night they play) . This hidden gem is located in a beautiful aria with restaurants and places to have a great time I met a cool security guy while sitting outside. Thank you Caesar! Hope to visit soon again!

They throw some of the best block parties in town, complete with live music, drink specials, and plenty of festive decorations. One thing to note is that The Gator Club has been a smoke-free establishment for several years. But don't worry, there's still plenty of room to smoke outside, and you can even bring your drink with you. Overall, The Gator Club is a great spot to relax and have fun. Checked out Johnny Diamond at Gators last month and had to stay for their whole show. Loved their retro selection and personal spin. It was busy and happening but not packed. No wait for cocktails, room to hang out, and plenty of dancing. $5 cover was a bargain. Nice to have music that rocks and plays past 11 pm. The Gator Club certainly provides a rare and needed service to the Sarasota community and I thank them. Running a 2 AM dance club with live music (and DJ upstairs) can’t be easy. It gives service industry folk a chance to enjoy weekends as well. Almost every other place is empty and closed before midnight.

An excellent experience for a night out listening to live music. Huge 2 floor establishment that boasts multiple bars and friendly staff. Great live music venue if you are ok with it being a little cramped. Overall, great spot for groups, solo, or a fun date night.

Really nice local bar right on Main Street. No food is served, but there are many options right down the street. They have entertainment many nights. E.g. Tuesday is Pornobingo (see separate Google Maps place for info), Thursday is dancing with DJ and live music. We were there on a Tuesday for Pornobingo (fun) and the bartender made amazing drinks. It was kind of quiet until 9pm, but then the atmosphere got going.

Walked in after picking up trash on Tamiami off 14th St.—hands black from goodwill—and got the full ‘Life' movie treatment. You know, the scene where Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence step into that diner and every head swivels like they just landed from Mars? Yeah, that. Only instead of a sassy waitress, I got the owner barking, ‘This is for patrons only,' before I even ordered. Didn't ask if I wanted a beer—just assumed I was there to steal soap. Look, it's 2026, not 1952. The stares, the vibe, the instant suspicion? Felt like I'd time-traveled into a bad rerun. Sarasota's got better spots—like The Gator Club downtown—that don't treat strangers like intruders. Maybe update the welcome mat. Or at least the attitude.

We didn't eat but really enjoyed the atmosphere. They had a young lady playing acoustic guitar with a fantastic voice. Place was very well decorated for the holidays and everyone around us appeared to really enjoy themselves. Crucially, the beer 🍺 was cold and had no dirty line taste.
